About Joy Events is a wedding planning and design company led by owner and principal planner Jackie Chaban, a fourth-generation San Franciscan, serving San Francisco, Wine Country and the Bay Area. Before About Joy, Jackie worked in finance and the wine industry, planning tastings and food and wine festivals. She works alongside lead designer and production manager Cookie, and the team's goal is for couples to feel like guests at their own wedding. Services include Wedding Management (which replaced day-of coordination and covers the whole planning process), Full Planning, elopements of 20 guests or fewer, micro weddings of 10 to 50 guests and bespoke wedding design.
