Dog Of Honor Weddings and Events is a wedding dog chaperone service led by Abigayle Curtis, working across Northern California since 2021. The company says its team has helped more than 400 dogs take part in over 250 weddings at more than 100 venues, from Carmel and San Francisco to Napa, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. On the wedding day, the team handles the dog's role from start to finish: transport to and from the venue, help with a walk down the aisle or a ring-bearer moment, support for the photographer during portraits, and behind-the-scenes photos of the dog with guests. They can also take the dog home or back to the hotel during cocktail hour, then feed and walk it. The team coordinates with the planner, venue and photographer ahead of time, and plans for heat, water and shade at summer outdoor weddings.
