About
The Brazilian Room is a historic wedding and event venue in Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley. Its English-style exterior was built by the Works Progress Administration using local rock and timber, and the hardwood paneling came from the Brazilian Pavilion at the 1939 Golden Gate International Exhibition. The building was dedicated in 1941 and includes a hardwood-paneled hall, a landscaped patio, and hillside and forest views. The venue lists a seated capacity of 150 and standing capacity of 225, plus a full industrial kitchen, dressing room, patio, and audio-visual amenities. The 2026 fee schedule lists weekday daytime rentals from $560, Friday evening at $2,185, and Saturday or Sunday 7-hour rates from $2,660. A 20% out-of-district surcharge applies; an approved caterer may be required depending on the date and option.
