About
Founded in 2012 by Emerson Boyle, Ampersand is a queer-owned floral design studio and retail shop located in San Francisco’s Castro Duboce neighborhood. They prioritize creating a welcoming, inclusive space and approach each project with a focus on creativity and community. Their team sources materials from local growers to support the surrounding environment and ensure seasonal freshness. They specialize in a naturalistic and organic aesthetic that draws inspiration from the beauty of ease found in nature. Their methodology emphasizes site-specific installations and working in tandem with the seasonal botanical ebb and flow. They aim to conceptualize unique and inspiring floral designs that range from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions. Service offerings include full wedding design, a la carte mini-wedding items for elopements, and corporate event floral design. They serve the San Francisco Bay Area and travel for weddings across California and to international destinations like Cabo. Beyond events, they provide weekly floral deliveries and maintenance for restaurants, offices, and private homes.
