Indian Wedding Ceremony + Reception
Niva + Chris
When Niva and Chris began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a venue that could honor their Indian heritage while feeling fresh and modern. Hayes Mansion in San Jose was the perfect fit - its lush courtyards and grand indoor spaces gave them the flexibility to host a traditional Indian ceremony outdoors and transition seamlessly into an elegant reception inside. With nearly 200 guests traveling from across the country, the South Bay estate offered the warmth and grandeur their celebration deserved.
The day was alive with color and emotion. From the intricate mehndi designs and vibrant floral mandap to the deeply personal rituals of the ceremony, every detail reflected the couple's roots and their families' traditions. Niva's stunning bridal look - rich reds and golds layered with heirloom jewelry - set the tone for an afternoon filled with laughter, tears, and the unmistakable energy of two families coming together. The baraat procession, accompanied by live dhol drummers, had guests dancing before the ceremony even began.
As the sun set over Hayes Mansion, the celebration shifted into a reception that blended Bollywood energy with Bay Area style. Guests moved between a beautifully styled cocktail hour on the terrace and a reception hall transformed with dramatic lighting, lush centerpieces, and a dance floor that never emptied. From the couple's choreographed first dance to the late-night garba, Niva and Chris's wedding was a testament to the power of bringing two cultures, two families, and two hearts together in one unforgettable celebration.
